| Kirk has been married 25 years, has 4 children; one son attends Texas A&M and one daughter attends nursing school and one daughter is at TCU. Kirk moved to the Chicago area to work at Medical Assistance Program International, a non-profit organization. M.A.P. International provides essential medicines for poor countries, medical aid when disasters strike, community health education in poor communities and disease prevention. After leaving the Chicago area, Kirk returned to Lubbock in 1978; he was in sales and management for a company that manufactured down-hole submersible pump components, C.B.C., Inc. In 1981, Kirk started his real estate career in residential real estate with Coldwell Banker; 1990 was the first year Kirk began working strickly in the commercial field and by 1993 he earned the CCIM designation. |
